Senior Manager Financial Due Diligence

Location

Salary

£100,000 - £110,000

Baker Thornton is partnering with a highly regarded, award-winning tax, accountancy and business advisory firm to appoint a Financial Due Diligence Senior Manager into its growing London-based Transaction Services team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FDD practitioner looking to join a high-quality platform where you can continue to develop your career in a genuinely supportive, collaborative and people-focused environment.

If you are currently working in a dedicated Financial Due Diligence or Transaction Services team and want to combine strong deal exposure with a better long-term culture, this could be an excellent next move.

The opportunity

You will play a key role in delivering buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence assignments for a mix of corporate and private equity clients. The role offers strong exposure to clients, target businesses and senior internal stakeholders, alongside the opportunity to help shape a fast-growing team.

This is a career-enhancing opportunity for someone who enjoys combining high-quality technical work with commercial insight, relationship management and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of high-quality, clear and commercially focused FDD reports
  • Oversee analysis of historical and forecast trading performance, working capital and cash flow
  • Perform and review quality of earnings analysis and the EV to equity bridge
  • Review financial forecasts and identify key risks, opportunities and value drivers
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality proposals, including scope development
  • Act as a key contact for clients, target management teams and deal stakeholders
  • Support client onboarding and the associated risk management and KYC requirements
  • Liaise with lead advisers, lenders, W&I insurers and internal specialist teams
  • Support the development, supervision and mentoring of junior team members
  • Contribute to business development and the growth of internal and external networks

What we are looking for

  • ACA, CA, ACCA or international equivalent
  • Ideally 4–5+ years of dedicated Financial Due Diligence experience
  • Background gained within a dedicated FDD / Transaction Services team
  • Proven experience delivering buy-side and sell-side diligence projects
  • Strong technical ability across:
    • Quality of earnings
    • Working capital and cash flow
    • EV to equity bridge analysis
    • Forecast review
  • Experience leading fieldwork and managing client and target interactions
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently
  • Exposure to completion accounts and SPAs would be advantageous

Why consider this role?

Our client offers the quality of work and client exposure you would expect from a leading advisory firm, but within a culture that is notably more supportive, inclusive and sustainable than many larger deal environments.

You will be joining a business that is serious about career development, values collaboration and authenticity, and offers a genuinely flexible approach to working. This is an environment where people are encouraged to grow, contribute and build a long-term career.

Package

  • Competitive salary
  • Benefits package
  • Hybrid and flexible working
  • Clear progression opportunity
  • Supportive and collaborative culture
  • Exposure to high-quality transactions and stakeholders

If you are an experienced Financial Due Diligence professional looking for a role that offers both strong career progression and a better overall platform to thrive, we would be delighted to speak with you.
